He was also the winner of 2005 HANKOK ILBO Enviromental Vision Enterpreneur Grand Prize. With fluency in the language and understanding of the culture in Indonesia, he helped many indonesians, from the time when he was an emergency rescue unit commander.
He maintains a close relationship with indonesian people. He also has his own know-how coming from his experience in forestation business since 1993, including germination, forestation feasibility analysis, land leasing, administrative processes, nursery construction, etc. Since international forestation required a long term investment, and also is very profitable, many people are interested and start the business, but not all of them are successful. They have to
face a lot of issues, such as property disputes with the local people, conflicts related to land surveying, frictions in profit sharing, discord with the local laborers on payments and laws, etc. Living in South East Asia for a long time have helped Mr.Lee to deal with all these issues effectively.
